At Sunset Elementary we have several large fundraisers planned for this year (for example: Lavender’s sale, Book Fair, and PTA Store), and many smaller fundraisers to support our various planned programs.  Please check back frequently to view the latest in information and ideas on how you can help support our fundraisers.

Catalog Sale

The PTA is excited to announce to announce that we will have a brand new catalog company for this 2010 fall fundraiser.  Details coming soon!

Book Fair

Encourage the love of reading by stopping by the Sunset Media Center during the PTA-sponsored Scholastic book fair!!  The PTA Scholastic book fair will run from in the fall (dates tbd) from 8:00am - 4:20pm weekdays.  Students will have the opportunity to browse the book fair and create a student wish list.  Want to buy a book or gift certificate for a favorite teacher? Teacher’s wish lists and gift certificates will be available at the book fair. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

Fitness Day

Every Spring the PTA sponsors a Fitness Day at Sunset Elementary to promote a healthy lifestyle for our children.  This is an opportunity to get the kids outside and having fun while completing a fun sports course.  Healthy food and drink is available during the event.  Please contact sunset_pta@yahoo.com for more information.

Boxtops for Education

The PTA collects boxtops from the students and submits them to Boxtops for Education (www.btfe.com) in exchange for money to support our programs.  Occurs all year.  Contact our coordinator at sunset_pta@yahoo.com for more information, or to volunteer to help.

Holiday Store

Each year the PTA opens a holiday store within the PTA store.  This is an opportunity for the children to come to the PTA store and buy little gifts for their parents, siblings, teachers, faculty, and friends.  It has always been a fun time for the children and we are excited to offer it again this year.
