Concerned Parent Advocate Workshop
In 2008/2009 Sunset Elementary's budget suffered over $400,000 in cuts. It took the effort of 500+ parents who signed petitions, wrote e-mails, attended rallies and/or otherwise advocated on behalf of our children to prevent additional devastating cuts to Sunset programs in 2009/2010. The state's budget crisis is far from over, making additional cuts to the education budget a serious threat once more. Our strength is in our numbers and in our knowledge.
